The Tax Office has several operational areas: voter registration, property tax, beer and wine renewals, vehicle and boat titles and registration.
In Voter Registration, the Tax Assessor-Collector acts as an agent of the Secretary of State and is charged with maintaining records of all registered voters in Eastland County.
The Tax Office collects current and delinquent property taxes for the following taxing entities: Eastland County City of Carbon City of Rising Star Cisco Hospital District Eastland Memorial Hospital District
THE TAX OFFICE HOURS ARE 8:00 A.M. UNTIL 4:30 P.M. MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY. ** NOTE: WE CLOSE FOR LUNCH FROM 11:30 A.M. TO 12:30 P.M. SO THAT WE CAN BE OPEN FOR PART OF THE REGULAR SET LUNCH HOUR.
On the 2nd Wednesday of the month, we set up at the precinct barn in Rising Star for vehicle registration and on the 3rd Wednesday of the month we set up at Gorman City Hall for vehicle registration. You must bring your renewal paper and proof of insurance. Our hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. THIS IS FOR RENEWALS ONLY, ALL OTHER TRANSACTIONS MUST BE DONE AT THE OFFICE IN THE COURTHOUSE.
You can now renew your vehicle registration online by visiting Texas Online.
You can also pay your Eastland County Property Taxes through Certified Payments (Bureau Code 1613884) or through Interactive Voice Response by calling 1-866-549-1010.
